E-Cell S.P.I.T in association with IIC S.P.I.T. conducted Food Challenge, an event where students set up food stalls in the Sabhagriha and sold food of their choice at a price point set by them. Students participated in teams of 3 to 6. Each team was allotted a stall where they sold their eatables in exchange for coupons provided by E-Cell S.P.I.T which was the mode of payment.

The event was judged by Mayank Shah, Shikha Shetty, Jinali Doshi, Yashmita Suvarna, and Abhay Sharma, who are prominent Food Vloggers. The event was evaluated on two criteria- best taste and maximum sales.

The winners under the best tase criteria were Team Mr. Bean’s (Sonu Sahu, Nikhil Singh, Chetan Patil, Teethi Kanthe, Aaryan Vaidya, Tejas Thakarey, and Kundan Chaudhari). The winners under the maximum sales criteria were Team PVR (Chirag Wadhwani, Vineet Mankani, Harish Balasubramanian, and Janhavi Dangle).

The event provided a great opportunity for all the participants to learn about pricing and advertising products which is a crucial skill for an entrepreneur. Participants learned the importance of accurately estimating the quantity of required material to prevent leftovers. Participants also had a first-hand experience of dynamically changing the prices of their products to match their competitors or to attract more customers.
